APPARTAMENTO AC-22
Renovation
The project involves the renovation of a raw attic space. The owners, who reside abroad for most of the year, desired a minimalist, sustainable home in Rome that would be easy to manage. In this regard, a simple design was proposed, incorporating energy-efficient solutions and systems that could be controlled remotely via basic home automation devices.
The internal layout of the apartment did not undergo significant changes, except for the living area where an open-plan configuration was chosen to directly connect the kitchen and the living room. Despite the reduced ceiling heights, a minimal thickness ceiling was added to house diagonal light cuts, emphasizing the unique geometry of the roof slopes.
