APPARTAMENTO GF-23
Renovation
This renovation is set within one of the most iconic blocks of Garbatella. A courtyard building from the early 1900s with a load-bearing masonry structure and floors composed of steel beams and brick vaults. To highlight these features, the ceiling structure was left exposed through a sandblasting process, preceded by a significant manual removal of the plaster.
The steel beams were also cleaned and treated with a transparent protective film to preserve the natural color of the iron.
Subtle historical references create a harmonious contrast with modern spaces characterized by simplicity and clarity, designed to meet contemporary needs.
